Notice of Release of Liability
By entering Lazy Cat Lounge’s cat room, you acknowledge that you do so voluntarily and accept full responsibility for any injuries or damage to your person or property which may result from entry. You also agree to the following:
You agree, for yourself, your heirs and assigns, to waive any claim that you might have now or in the future against Lazy Cat Lounge, LLC, Lowell Humane Society (or any other related shelters or rescues using the cat room) and its shareholders, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents (“Released Parties”) for any injuries or damages you may suffer while visiting the cat room.
You, for yourself, your heirs and assigns hereby knowingly and voluntarily release the Released Parties from any liability now or in the future, arising from or related to your experience and attendance at the Lazy Cat Lounge’s cat room and waive any right, actual or presumed, to bring a cause of action against the Released Parties related to or arising from your experience and attendance at the Lazy Cat Lounge’s cat room.
In addition, by entering the cat room, you agree to indemnify Lazy Cat Lounge, LLC and its shareholders, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents against, and hold them harmless from any claim your guests may make as a result of any injuries or damages such guest may suffer while visiting the cat room.
By signing this waiver, you understand and agree to the following:

There are security cameras in use that may record your image.

You may be photographed by staff or other guests during your visit.

There are live cats in the cat room.

You knowingly, voluntarily, and willingly assuming all liability and assumption of the risk related to interacting with cats. You are aware and understand the inherent dangers involved in interacting with live animals, including the risk of death, personal injury or damage to yourself, other persons, and property while participating in cat interaction and having property at the location of these activities. This includes, but is not limited to injuries, bites, scratches, infections, illnesses, allergies, or any physical or property damage.

Cat dander is a common allergen, and you are entering this facility at your own risk.

All cats in the cat lounge room are examined and vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian prior to entering the cat lounge room. Records can be provided upon request.

Cats are examined by staff daily for signs and symptoms of illness.

Zoonotic diseases (zoonoses) are infections that are spread between people and animals. These infections are caused by germs, such as viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi. Some can be severe and life-threatening, and others may be milder and get better on their own. The best protection against zoonoses is washing your hands with soap and running water or using hand sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available.

You have read the above description of zoonoses. You understand the importance of cleaning hands and know the web address to the CDC website regarding cat safety.

You understand, if pregnant, that toxoplasmosis can cause serious illness in your infant.

You agree to be fully liable, legally, financially, or otherwise, for all costs, expenses, or burdens resulting from interactions with cats in the Lazy Cat Lounge cat room.

Lazy Cat Lounge agrees to allow you to interact with the cats only in consideration of payment of the cat room entry fee, execution of this Release and your agreement to follow the rules. You agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.

Lazy Cat Lounge Cat Room Visitor Rules:

Please use the hand sanitizer provided before entering and after leaving the cat lounge room.

Do not remove cats from or allow cats out of the cat lounge room. Use caution when entering or exiting the cat lounge room!

Cats may choose to sit on, with or beside you, but you may not pick up the cats. Cats may choose not to interact with you. This does not constitute a reason to request a refund.

Do not feed the cats or allow cats to eat your food. (This applies to cat treats not specifically provided by Lazy Cat Lounge.)

No flash photography.

No climbing or jumping on any furniture, including cat furniture.

No abusive behavior to cats, staff, or other visitors. No exceptions! Abusive behavior is defined as bullying, teasing, poking, yelling at, using foul language, stomping, chasing, physically hurting, demeaning, or any other behavior deemed abusive by the Lazy Cat management or staff.

Children ages 8-13 must be accompanied by an adult with a one child-to-one adult ratio. Adults accept full responsibility for interactions between the cats and the child in their care.

Adoption: If you are interested in adopting a cat from the cat lounge, you will need to complete the rescue or shelter’s adoption application. You understand that adoption fees will apply and will be paid to the shelter or rescue. Applications are reviewed by rescue staff and volunteers. Approval to adopt a cat is not guaranteed.

Each reservation is for a 50-minute window, (unless a longer or special event reservation is booked). Entry time starts at the top of each hour. Payment is not prorated if you leave early or arrive late.

Refunds will only be issued if your booking is cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Please allow 48 hours for any refunds to be processed.
By checking the box, you are agreeing to abide by all rules and regulations that Lazy Cat Lounge may impose, to include but not limited to, the prohibition of any activity that will distress, injure, or otherwise harm the cats, staff or visitors in any manner. You understand that if you are unwilling or unable to follow Lazy Cat Lounge rules and regulations, Lazy Cat Lounge staff have the right to terminate continuation of any activities and request you exit the cat room without issuing a refund.
